Jeremy Camp - Healing Hand Of God
From the album Speaking Louder Than Before

I have seen the many faces of fear and of pain / I have watched the tears fall plenty from heartache and strain
So if life’s journey has you weary and afraid / There’s rest in the shadow of his wing
I have walked through the valleys the mountains and plains / I have held the hand of freedom that washes all my stains
If you feel weight of many trials ad burdens of this world / There’s freedom in the shelter of the Lord

Chorus
I have seen the healing hand of God / Reaching out and mending broken hearts
So taste and see the fullness of his peace / And hold on to what’s being held out
The healing hand of God

I have touched the scars upon his hands to see if they were real / He has walked the road before me he knows just how I feel
When you feel that there’s not anyone who understands your pain / Just remember all of Jesus’ suffering

Chorus
I have seen the healing hand of God / Reaching out and mending broken hearts
So taste and see the fullness of his peace / And hold on to what’s being held out
The healing hand of God

Cast all your cares on Him for he cares for you / He’s near to the broken and confused
By his stripes our spirit is renewed So enter in the joy prepared for you

Let Your Grace flow through us and give hope to those around us. May we be Your Light in a world torn apart. May we be open

to being used by You to touch the lives of those that need You and the renewing power of You give to all who need it. Let us keep

hearts purified and lifted up to You so that we might stand strong and face all difficulties that come before us. All we have and are is

Yours to do with as You need to build up and strengthen the kingdom. All Glory & Praise Be To You. Amen.

Movies to Watch

There are no movies in theatres at the present time, but there are many coming in the next few months to check and see if they are worth going to see.  To check out the current movies and others as they come to theatres go to plugged in online. This site reviews all the movies and gives a full description of the content and value of the movie.  This is a good way to get an idea about the value of a movie before spending money on going to watch it at a theatre.

To Rent or to Buy

Look for the Dove Award Family Approved seal on movies in stores. While this does not guarantee the quality of plot in these movies, this does mean the content of the movies will be acceptable in areas of language, sexual content, and other subjects.  Even though these movies are not all specifically Christian themed movies either, but do carry good healthy messages to them. Movies with this seal include: Janette Oke's Love Comes Softly series, most Walden Media movies (Chronicles of Narnia, Charlotte's Web, etc.), The Final Season with Sean Astin, Bella, and The Wager with Randy Travis.

Prince Caspian

This book turned movie from the Chronicles of Narnia series is an excellent movie for all ages. There are a few places that might be disturbing for the younger ages like intense battle scenes, but these are dealt with great respect for the younger audiences by not showing more than what is necessary. In all this movie is filled with great messages and great family enjoyment. This movie is well worth purchasing and sharing with others..

Some Questionable Content

These movies are good except for some places where the content listed appears in the movie.

Lord Of The Rings trilogy
(based on book by J. R. R. Tolkien) - violence and fantasy content
Passion of the Christ - Realistic violence

Three - Intense thematic elements and violence (based on Ted Dekker book of the same name)

We Are Marshall - Some language and frightening crash scene  (true story of the Marshall University Football team)

In the Near Future

There are a few movie titles coming out in the near future based on books by authors Frank Perreti and Ted Dekker. Be aware that the books they write involve topics of spiritual warfare and would not be suitable for younger age groups and even some adults without an understanding of spiritual warfare.  Movies like The Visitation and Three have already been released, but might be taken in the wrong context without an understanding of the Christian principle truths and God-centered basis behind these movies.

Music

Are you looking for some good choices in the style of music you like?  Here is a list of alternatives for you to look for.

To all who are viewing this page,

The music in the mainstream market is in the midst of a struggle. Many Christian Music artists are making the crossover to public radio and the mainstream market.  In response, the secular mainstream artists have begun to grow more deceptive in their lyrics at times, but others have grown more destructive and dirty.  The lists below gives names of artists and groups from all of music. The first is mainstream Christian artists that have a Christian message and will not corrupt the listener with suggestive and/or destructive messages and themes.  The other lists give the non-Christian artists of certain styles in bold and the Christian alternatives to those styles below in Italics. These lists are a way to show that the style of music is not the problem. The problem is the artist behind the music.  These are artists who have made a decision to use what God gave them for His Glory not their own.
