And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to him, and said to him, "Jehovah is with you, mighty warrior". And Gideon said to Him, "O, my Lord, if Jehovah is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not Jehovah bring us up from Egypt? But now Jehovah has forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites". And Jehovah looked upon him and said, "Go in your might, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?" And he said to him, "O, my Lord, with what shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house." And Jehovah said to him, "Surely, I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man." And he said to Him, "If now I have found grace in Your sight, then show me a sign that You talk with me. Do not depart from here, I pray, until I come to You, and bring forth my food offering and set it before You." And He said, "I will stay until you come again." (Jdg 6:12-18)

Lord, teach us Your Vision for us and the community around us. Keep our eyes open and focused on seeing spread and strengthened in the hearts of everyone. May we grow into a full understanding of Your Vision, and let us know our place is making the vision happen. May we bring Your Kingdom to fulfillment around us right now. Let our whole selves be completely committed to You and Your Vision so that like Gideon we become mighty warriors that do impossible things because of Your Presence in us and through us. Amen.
