Psalms 119:9-16 How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. (10) I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. (11) I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. (12) Praise be to you, O LORD; teach me your decrees. (13) With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. (14) I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. (15) I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. (16) I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.

Are you reading the Bible? Are you chasing after God with your all? The Old Testament verses like these above say what the New Testament reinforces strongly. In order for us to stay strong and pure of heart, we must follow the words of these verses.  God's Word must be stored up within us and easily spoken from our lips.  We should take great joy in seeking the Lord, reading the Bible, and growing in faith.  This makes us ready and able to stand firm when trials and temptations come against us. The Holy Spirit gives all we need when we rely on God.

Lord, we look to You for our strength and comfort.  May we honor You in all we do, and may we seek You through reading Your Word and spending time with You.  Let us take strength through the power of Your Holy Spirit working within us and others in order to guide us on the path You have chosen for us.  Let all praise and glory be given to You for the many blessings You pour out upon us and for the gifts You still have for us as we stay on the path that leads to You.  May we look to You for all we ever need.  Amen.
